WOW! Just Wait 'Till You Taste This!

Ok, so I will admit that there isn't much dark chocolate that I don't like. With that as my disclaimer, I must also say that there are some which I absolutely can't do without (remember, I'm one of those "have to have chocolate every day" kind of people!)! Our newest single-origin dark chocolate bar fits into that category. One of our chocolatiers, Askinosie Chocolates, has just come out with a bar made with beans from the Philippines. Turns out that the beans from Davao in the Philippines used to make this 77% dark chocolate bar come from the fist Filipino cocoa bean export in nearly 25 years. It's just one person's opinion, but I think this was worth waiting for! What I really like about it is that while it's got that great intense chocolate taste, it's not overly acidic. We opened a bar when it came in last week and everyone who tasted it wound up buying one! Ok, so maybe it's more than one person's opinion after all!

We've decided to take matters into our own hands to warm things up a bit by taking an extra markdown on things that were already on sale! In addition, we've put a few additional jewelry pieces on sale, so even if you've checked out the sale case already, you might want to stop by and take another look. Have You Seen These Yet?

I really love these bracelets! I am so happy that Max's is the exclusive retailer of these wonderful titanium and sapphire bracelets here in the Twin Cities. Designed and made locally in Minneapolis by Titasa (ok, I will admit that it took me a while to figure it out....Titasa is short for titanium and sapphire!), what I love most about these bracelets is their sleek and highly contemporary design that is very architectural in nature. What I didn't know before about titanium is that it cannot be bent, so these cuffs are cut to their shape. I was really taken by the fine workmanship in these bracelets....from the smooth edges to the sapphire settings in palladium. While the stones are really striking (especially in the bracelets with 3 or 5 stones), I feel totally comfortable wearing these with jeans and a sweater as an everyday item. I hope that you'll come in and take a look....I just love how different these are!
